Project commissioned for the conference 'Cultural Mapping: Debating Spaces and Places’, Valletta European Capital of Culture 2018. The installation consists of a video, sound and photographic documentation of the four streets around the perimeter of the Sacra Infermeria; a 16th century hospital built by the Knights of St John. The project spans a number of months during which the diverse realities of each street were captured and brought inside the chapel. At any given point, viewers could 'surveil' the movements in the streets in an asynchronous manner, whereby months of footage have been compressed in approximately 40 minutes of footage.
