About

Trevor Borg is a multi-disciplinary artist, curator and academic based in Malta. He holds a PhD in Fine Art practice from the University of Leeds and degrees from the University of Malta. His work spans a diverse range of media from drawing and painting to sculpture, film, and installations. Trevor Borg’s work has been shown in numerous museums and galleries around the world including the European Parliament in Brussels in 2012, the 58th edition of the Venice Biennale 2019, the Beijing International Art Biennale 2022, and the London Design Biennale 2023. In 2004, he was chosen to exhibit his work in various European galleries and museums in an exhibition highlighting contemporary art from ten new member states of the European Union.

Trevor Borg is the Head of Department of Digital Arts at the University of Malta. He is a member of the creative practice-led research network LAND2, an associate at Cut Contemporary Fine Arts Lab at Cyprus University of Technology, curator of various exhibitions including Contemporary Inside 2018, Shifting Contexts I 2018-19 and Shifting Contexts II 2022, and author of a number of articles and academic papers.
